A Big Thank You to everyone who supported The World's Largest Swimming Lesson at Brewer Swimming tonight on June 24, 2016.
It was one of the coldest days so far in Australia this year, so we were thrilled to have a total of 70 swimmers in the pool, having lots of fun and learning some water safety skills with coach and Olympian Graeme Brewer!
We raised a total of $182.00 for the Samuel Morris Foundation, thanks to the generous donations from fantastic local businesses, Hummerston's Gourmet Meats, Sweet Temptations Patisserie, Bakers Delight Lane Cove, Hairsuite, Cleopatras Beauty Clinic & In Colour Imaging.
A very special thank you to Michael Morris from the Samuel Morris Foundation for taking time out of his Fire and Rescue NSW job to share his story and speak to us about the importance of swimming lessons and drowning prevention.
"Thanks to Brewer Swimming for supporting the Samuel Morris Foundation as part your efforts in participating in The Worlds Largest Swimming Lesson. Great to see so many enthusiastic participants and have the opportunity to remind them about the importance of all aspects of water safety!" - The Samuel Morris Foundation
We are overwhelmed with all the local support we received for this event and congratulations to everyone who was involved!
